Description

The long wheelbase Linear Limo is a full-size recumbent bike that folds for easy transport and storage. Suitable for touring; commuting or fitness riding it is available in sizes to fit riders from about 5’ to 6’6”.

I’m 6’2” and my Folding Linear Limo folds, without tools, to under 45” long.

Folded it will easily fit in a Chevy Corvette; Honda Civic or Toyota Corolla trunk.

We fit FOUR Linears, a card table, a repair stand, an exercise stand, two adults and our luggage INSIDE a Scion Xa and drove to Cincinnati for the Recumbent Cycle Con.

We could even see out the rear view mirror!

Folding Instructions

First, shift the bike to high gear and hang the lower chain on the chain hanger bolt. If it has a kickstand you can stand it on the stand to make the disassembly and fold easier. Next I loosen the front and rear wheel QRs and the front and rear frame QRs.
Second, release both ends of the steering linkage and remove it. Remove the seat strut pins and put them in an empty strut hole so you don’t lose them. Loosen the QR under the seat, remove the seat.
Third, fold the seat struts down against the frame and remove the front wheel.
Fourth, remove the rear wheel. If your Linear has a kickstand you should fold it up now.
Fifth, slide the front frame QR forward and fold the front frame. The fork will not hit the chainrings so your paint is safe!
Sixth, slide the rear frame QR forward and fold the rear frame and you are done. If it has the optional fold-able pedals (like this one) you can fold them.
It will now fit in the trunk of a Toyota Corolla or Honda Civic.
If you want it even smaller you can remove the vertical handlebar ends with a 5mm wrench. With the same wrench you can move the handlebars forward so they turn sideways making the package narrower.
Here it is shown with the pedals and bar ends removed and handlebar moved back and turned parallel with the frame.
Ready to put the second end of the Sportube on.

Outside dimensions are 47” x 14” x 9”. Packed Shown with the packing material. Not much is needed because the frame is folded, not disassembled it won’t bang on itself.
